Photo Contest: Manifesta 12 through the eyes of the viewers

Manifesta Biennial is pleased to launch its first ever Photo Contest, open to anyone over the age of 18.
The Planetary Garden and all the 50 projects, installations and public interventions it consists of, will be on view until 4 November 2018. 

For the final days of Manifesta 12 Palermo, Manifesta Biennial wants to give to its visitors the unique opportunity to participate to an international photo-contest.
Visit iconic abandoned palazzos and churches and win a 3-day trip to Manifesta 13 Marseille!

The only thing you need to do is to send a photo of one of the artworks or installations of the biennial. (Main Programme + Collateral Events and 5x5x5 Programmes).
The photo can either be that of an individual work, an installation view or a selfie in front of a specific project: your creativity is the only thing that matters!
The photos will be reviewed by a jury composed of Hedwig Fijen, Manifesta Biennial Director and international panel members that will be announced at a later stage.
The jury’s decision is unquestionable. Once the jury has convened, the winner will be announced by 31 December 2018.

The prize the winner will get is a 3 day VIP trip to the Preview Days of Manifesta 13 Marseille in 2020.
Winner will be offered a flight from any European city to Marseille, will be our guest for 2 nights in a wonderful Hotel in the French city and in all the exclusive opening events of Manifesta 13 Preview Days.

Manifesta 12 Photo Contest Guidelines:
Photographs taken by any photographic device are accepted. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant and assumes the intellectual property rights pertaining to the photograph submitted. Image files may be in JPEG or PNG format and at 300dpi, other formats are not allowed. There are no file size limits, however, it is advisable not to send files that are more than 5 MB. The photos can be in black and white or color.
Manifesta reserves the rights to use the photos sent for press and communication purposes, even if these are not related to the photo contest at such.We inform all the participants that personal data provided by competitors will be used for activities related to institutional or promotional purposes, as required by the privacy legislation.
Manifesta staff members cannot participate in the Photo Contest.
